We are very well equipped at Tideswell Welding Services Ltd. to manage your transport needs and that of your customer’s. All our drivers are fully trained, holding driver CPCs and certified SPA/ MPQC cards. They also have numerous, additional qualifications including Slinging and Signalling, Telehandler Suspension Loads, Lorry Loader (Crane Swivel Hook) and Plant Mover (Earth Moving Equipment) under the NPORS accreditation scheme.

 

Tideswell Welding Services is committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standards in health and safety. Our organisation complies with regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations and has gained membership of the Avetta Consortium.

 

Our 32 tonne HIAB lorry which is capable of lifting up to 8.5 tonnes is fully tested and comes with annual inspection certificates. We have a full complement of tested lifting straps and chains with 6 monthly inspection certificates. Our lorry is also fitted with a remote control facility. We regularly use this facility to lift heavy quarry buckets, transmissions, transformers etc. within or off site. There is a minimum 4 hours hire charge with this vehicle.

 

We have an articulated unit, either equipped with a standard flat back trailer capable of carrying up to 28 tonne or a low loader trailer capable of carrying up to 28 tonne. We regularly transport equipment, including wheel loaders, buckets and caterpillar tracked vehicles using this lorry and also have wide load permits, if required. This lorry comes equipped with sheets, securing straps and chains.

 

In addition to these heavier vehicles, we have a 3.5 tonne flat back pick up truck with a 1.8 tonne payload. This truck comes with sides which are removable depending on your load requirements.

All our work is covered by our general insurance alongside our public and products liability insurance up to a limit of £3,000,000.
